ONE BIG WEEKEND WITH THE PIGEON DETECTIVES
17 May 2007 - Harley-Davidson UK
Up and coming rock band The Pigeon Detectives rapid rise to fame has increased with the announcement that they will play at Radio 1’s One Big Weekend.
The band will appear in the New Music We Trust tent at the event in Preston on Saturday 19 May. Other popular bands including Razorlight, The Scissor Sisters, Mika, The Kaiser Chiefs, Gossip and Groove Armada will also perform live. The Leeds-based band who are currently promoting their forthcoming album Wait For Me in a nationwide tour can’t wait to perform. Drummer Jimmi Nayler - who has shown his allegiance to legendary motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson by sporting the company’s clothing in recent videos and live appearances - can be seen on Saturday wearing a Harley-Davidson T-shirt from the new summer range. “I own a large selection of Harley-Davidson vintage T-shirts, leather jackets and belts,” said Jimmi. “The clothing is unique and stands out from the crowd which is what the band and our music is all about. We are all very excited about performing at Radio 1’s event and we may even find time to pop into Harley-Davidson’s new Preston dealership before we get back on the road.” “It’s fantastic news,” said Parts, Accessories and MotorClothes Manager Allan Brownridge. “The band reflects a different element of Harley-Davidson’s clothing which proves how diverse our range is. Its great to see the music industry tuning into the brand. I’m sure we will be seeing a lot of The Pigeon Detectives over the next few months.” Harley-Davidson clothing is available at www.harley-davidson.co.uk or from authorised dealerships nationwide. The Pigeon Detectives new single ‘I’m Not Sorry’ is available for download from Monday and goes on sale on 21 May.
