WATCH OUT FOR BULLETS AT THUNDERSPRINT
28 April 2007 - Royal Enfield
Royal Enfield to exhibit at Thundersprint this May
Royal Enfield will be exhibiting for the first time at the 2007 Thundersprint (12-13 May 2007) giving the 130,000 visitors an opportunity to check out the latest models from the oldest surviving motorcycle manufacturer in the world. Royal Enfield has enjoyed a renaissance in the UK since distribution was taken over by Watsonian Squire in 1999 and last year they outsold Moto Guzzi and Buell in this country. The Bullet 350cc model, which is virtually unchanged in appearance since 1955, has been consistently popular, but the biggest success story has been the 500cc Bullet Electra version, powered by a new alloy 5-speed engine. The Electra delivers incredible fuel economy and several journalists have reported achieving a figure of 100 MPG, which means that it is possible to travel up to 300 miles on a tank of unleaded petrol, (costing £12.00 to fill). Various special models are also produced, including the 500T, built to celebrate Royal Enfield’s success in ISDT during the 1950’s and 1960’s styled café racer models too. Prices for the Royal Enfield Bullet start at £1,999 for the Classic 350cc model. The lean burn 500cc Electra sells for £3,532 on the road. See them at the Thundersprint. Saturday and Sunday May 12 and 13 2007, Northwich Town Centre FREE ADMISSION AND FREE PARKING
