RIZLA SUZUKI PROTECTS ITS BIKES WITH SUPAGARD
04 November 2004 - Rizla-Suzuki
RIZLA SUZUKI will apply Supagard to protect its race machines in 2005 after using the unique paint sealant in 2004 on its way to winning the British Superbike Championship.
The high-speed, maximum stress arena of Superbike racing allowed Rizla Suzuki to test the Supagard paint sealant to its limits in one of the most competitive and harshest environments in the world. It outperformed all expectations and the team is delighted to be continuing its partnership with Supagard in 2005. Simon Green, team co-ordinator for Rizla Suzuki, said: ''We used Supagard as the first line of defence against damage and paint fade on our GSX-R1000 race bikes. The blue colour is very important to Rizla and the Supagard gives it a layer of protection preserving its finish. ''Over the course of the 2004 season we had less damage to paintwork and fairings than ever before, despite record numbers of visitors sitting on the bikes, poor weather doing its best to be abrasive and nearly 30,000-miles worth of transportation. I am utterly convinced it was the Supagard that kept the damage to fairings and paintwork to a minimum - and that in turn saves us cash. ''If applied to a road bike, the Supagard will definitely protect the paintwork and keep the machine looking fresh and new. I am very happy to be using Supagard again in 2005 and cannot recommend it enough.'' For 2005 Supagard will be offering more protection than ever for bikers who want to look after their machines. The new packs, which will be available in striking Rizla blue, will include: · 1x paint sealant application · 2x KeyAssist pack, with two fobs that provides a 90% chance of recovering lost keys · 1x Supacard (provides substantial savings at ferry companies and major uk retailers like Thresher, Safeway, Pizza Hut, WH Smith, Our Price, Beefeater and many more) · A wide selection of bike-specific technologically advanced and Suzuki approved cleaning products, including acid rain neutralising shampoo, wheel cleaner/protector, multipurpose cleaner, visor cleaner and leather feed/cleaner Rizla Suzuki triple Superbike Champion John Reynolds and team mate Scott Smart will both race all-new GSX-R1000 race bikes protected by Supagard next year. The 2005 British Superbike Championship starts on Monday, March 28th, at Brands Hatch in Kent. The Supagard kit is available from Suzuki motorcycle retailers.
