REPLICA HELMET
26 February 2007 - Vemar
Vemar di Angelis
Vemar has introduced an Alex di Angelis limited edition replica version of their top-of-the-range VSREV race specification helmet. Di Angelis won the final MotoGP 250 race of 2006 and to celebrate his successful conclusion to the season Vemar has produced a replica of the helmet that he wore for his ''home'' round at Mugello last June. The di Angelis replica is produced to the highest standards in Vemar’s modern factory in Italy. The shell is manufactured from a lightweight carbon/aramidic fibre/fibreglass composite in sizes X-Small to X-Large. Sizes XS to Medium have a smaller external shell than sizes Large to XL, ensuring a more accurate and comfortable fit. This also contributes to the compact design, which helps to minimise wind resistance. The visor is treated to be anti-fog/anti-scratch and it has a quick-release mechanism with an FIA inspired ‘safety catch’ to prevent it ‘popping off’ in a crash situation. Inside is a removable and washable lining treated with Antimicrobial Sanitized Protection to ensure it stays fresh. To ensure that the fit is maintained, the cheek pads are manufactured from polyurethane ‘memory’ foam that, unlike traditional foam padding, retains its shape, even after extended use. The Vemar VSREV di Angelis carries the ACU Gold Badge and is available priced at £199.99.
