Changements aux Règlements

The Superbike Commission, composed of Messrs. Paolo Flammini (FGSport), Claude Danis (FIM) and Giulio Bardi (Team representative), in a meeting held today in Qatar, unanimously decided to introduce the following modifications to the Road Racing Superbike & Supersport World Championship and Superstock FIM Cup Regulations:

SPORTING REGULATIONS (immediate application)

1.15.2 Practice Sessions (warm-up inclusive)

To delete: v) Riders or mechanics may only start their motorcycles in the pit lane by pushing in the direction of the circuit.

1.31 Extra deposit in case of machine control following a protest

The deposit in case of dismantling and reassembling a machine to measure the cylinder capacity, following a protest, is USD 200.- (material included)

The deposit in case of partial or complete dismantling of an engine or gearbox is USD 350.-

TECHNICAL REGULATIONS (application as from 1.1.2008)

Supersport

2.5.1 Displacement capacities

Over 400cc up to 600cc 4 stroke 4 cylinders

Over 500cc up to 675cc 4 stroke 3 cylinders

Over 600cc up to 750cc 4 stroke 2 cylinders

2.5.2 Minimum Weights

The minimum weights will be: 600 cc four cylinders 158 kg
675cc three cylinders 162 kg
750 cc two cylinders 166 kg

La Commission Superbike, composée de MM. Paolo Flammini (FGSport), Claude Danis (FIM) et Giulio Bardi (représentant des équipes), lors d’une réunion tenue aujourd’hui au Qatar, a décidé à l’unanimité d’effectuer les modifications suivantes aux Règlements du Championnat du Monde de Courses sur Route Superbike et Supersport et Coupe FIM Superstock:

REGLEMENTS SPORTIFS (entrée en vigueur immédiate)

1.15.2 Séances d’essais (warm-up compris)

Supprimer: v) Les coureurs ou les mécaniciens peuvent uniquement faire démarrer leurs motocycles dans la voie des stands, en les poussant dans la direction du circuit.

1.31 Caution supplémentaire en cas de contrôle de machine suite à une réclamation

La cautions en cas de démontage et remontage d’une machine pour mesurer la cylindrée, suite à une réclamation, est de USD 200.- (y compris le matériel)

La caution en cas de démontage partiel ou complet du moteur ou de la boîte de vitesses est de USD 350.-

Supersport

2.5.1 Cylindrées

Au-dessus de 400cc jusqu’à 600cc 4 temps 4 cylindres

Au-dessus de 500cc jusqu’à 675cc 4 temps 3 cylindres

Au-dessus de 600cc jusqu’à 750cc 4 temps 2 cylindres

2.5.2 Poids minimum

Les poids minimum seront : 600 cc quatre cylindres 158 kg
675cc trois cylindres 162 kg
750 cc deux cylindres 166 kg
