26 February 2007 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 AMERICAN star Ronnie Correy has been added to the line-up for Birmingham''s historic re-opening meeting on March 21. The former Wolves man was linked with a move to the Brummies over the winter before agreeing to join Edinburgh. Birmingham promoter Graham Drury said: ''It will be good to see Ronnie at the opening meeting at Perry Barr as he was one of the first riders we considered.'' SPEEDWAY 2 BERWICK have handed a team place to John Branney - younger brother of Craig, who was in the Bandits'' side last year. And the club say they are on the verge of confirming their final team member for their 40th season of racing. Promoter Peter Waite said: ''John has had some very fine races in his time, and he is ready to emerge into the big time with us.''
