SIMONCELLI WITH APRILIA IN THE 250CC
22 November 2006 - Aprilia
The relationship between Aprilia and the rider from Cattolica just entered into another chapter as he is moving up to the 4-liter for the 2006 season.
We will see him with Team Rossano Brazzi in the seat of an RSW, the motorcycle he already became acquainted with for the first time in Valencia at the end of the 2005 Gp. ‘Unfortunately we weren’t able to race a lot because of bad weather. At the end I was only able to circulate for half a day, but I have to say that my first impressions were good. I will nevertheless be at Jerez from November 21st to 23rd and then from December 7th to the 9th I will once again be atop an Aprilia for the tests to be disputed at Valencia.” The jump to the 250 comes after a 5th place overall finish in the 125cc championship in a season that saw him achieve victory (in Spain) and five podiums for a total of 177 points. Regarding his new adventure, Marco seems to have precise ideas: “Right now I feel good, in shape. The first thing that I noticed about the new bike – he explains – is the weight, it requires more arm strength. This is what I will work on. However, right now we still haven’t set an exact workout program in stone.”
