SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES 29.10.04
29 October 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

POOLE co-promoter Matt Ford is urging fans to turn out in force for the deciding leg of the Elite League knockout Cup at Wimborne Road on Sunday (2pm).

The league champions are 48-42 down from the first leg and Ford reckons the fans can make a difference. He said: ''We want to get the biggest crowd we can into Poole Stadium for the second leg. The fans can become our eighth rider.''

NEW Belle Vue owner Tony Mole has revealed how he wants Aces legends Chris Morton and Peter Collins to be involved. Mole and new team manager Ian Thomas have invited them both to a public meeting at Kirkmanshulme Lane on November 10. He said: ''Peter and Chris are important parts of Belle Vue''s glory days which we want to bring back and I''d like them to become involved.''
