SPEEDWAY 1

BRITISH Champion Scott Nicholls has been added to the line-up for Belle Vue''s first meeting under their new promotion.
The Coventry skipper will race in the Peter Craven Memorial Trophy on March 19 on the circuit where he won last year''s national title.
Aces MD David Gordon said: ''We feel we have put together an extremely attractive field, especially now that Nicholls has agreed to ride.''

SPEEDWAY 2

TRACK construction work at Birmingham remains on schedule ahead of the sport''s return to Perry Barr next month.
Colin Meredith is overseeing the process ahead of the Brummies'' major opening meeting on March 21.
Meredith said: ''The weather has been kind to us of late and we''re very confident that everything will be ready in time for press and practice on March 14.
