LORENZO IMPROVES HIS TIME FROM YESTERDAY
19 February 2007 - Aprilia

METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS STILL NOT GREAT

A difficult day of testing for the 250 class thanks to a track that was wet for almost the entire morning due to the heavy rain that fell overnight and an overcast sky that didn''t allow the track to dry out quickly. Almost none of the teams raced more than a few turns to test out the tyres and settings for this type of condition. The sun slowly came out and after 1:00pm, the teams mounted the slick tyres and set off for a frenzied day of testing on an almost completely dry track. After all was said and done, Jorge Lorenzo was the fastest with a time of 1:46.9, improving yesterday''s performance by 1.1. Right behind him was Hector Barbera and Alex De Angelis who also improved their times from previous trials. This session of private testing was the last before the IRTA tests at Jerez de la Frontera on February 19-20.
