SIMONE FINISHES IN 17TH
01 October 2005 - Aprilia

DE ANGELIS CRASHES

The MS Aprilia Italia Corse leave Qatar with zero points. Alex De Angelis, that started from the first row with the second time gotten in the qualifying session, has not ended the competition for a crash. Simone Corsi, that started from twentieth plaza, has succeeded in passing under the chess flag, but its 17° place is out of points.

With a great start, Alex was in bagarre with Aoyama and Porto, when he lost the control of his RSW 250, finishing his competition in the sand.

''I was pushing for remaining in the leading group - said Alex - but the front slipped a lot of and while I was being behind to Aoyama, I have lost the control of the motorbike. It’s a pity because a zero in classification is the worst result I could get in this part of the season. I want to recover some positions in the championship and a zero now maens an heavy stop.''

Simone started in 20th position and before the first corner was 10th, but tireness made him able to not finish in point.

''I made a good start - said Simone - to the first corner I was enough next to the first. But as the laps gone the warm unfortunately made me lose the concentration and has taken over the work. I didn\''t see the time that the competition ended, but I wanted to close to points, I mind not being succeeds us.''

Alex and Simone will be again in race for theAutralian GP in which, last year De Angelis finished in second position. For Simone Phillip Island is one of the preferred track in the world one and will be the first competition for him with a 250 on the Australian circuit.
