NOTHWITHSTANDING THE RAIN
At Barcelona (his second home), Jorge Lorenzo registered the best time of the morning, stopping the chronometer at 1:48.0. He then unleashed a great performance in the afternoon rain thanks to his suspensionís setting. Just a few hundreds of a second behind the current world champion was another fresh international rider, Alvaro Bautista. He marked a great 1:48.2 atop his official RSW. Just two seconds behind them was Alex De Angelis who continues to work on the development of the new frame. Barbera and Espargaro also registered solid performances. On his home track, Espargaro clocked in an optimal 1:49.3 atop his RSW LE. First among the Italian riders was Fabrizio Lai with a time of 1:50.4.
