ESSENTIAL ROAD SAFETY
17 February 2007 - Ride Safe Back Safe

Free Show for Bikers in the North West

The RideSafe Rendezvous is hoping to draw more than 2,000 visitors to a free show, dedicated to all motorcycle and scooter riders on Sunday 15th April.

The RideSafe BackSafe Initiative, supported by Lancashire Partnership For Road Safety and Lancashire Police, working in partnership with organisations such as the Institute for Advanced Motorists, BMF and MAG, is organising a family day out backed by a wealth of information and advice about road safety for bikers.

Entertainment will include the Xtreme Trials Display Team, motorcycle stunt rider Dave Coates and the MPC Ural motorcycle display team. Maria Castello, an Isle of Man TT competitor and fastest woman on two wheels will also appear at the shows dedicated Women In Biking zone. Completing the line up will be a Classic Bikes display, motorcycle dealers and trade stands.

Everyone is welcome, particularly those new to biking and youngsters thinking about getting their first bike or scooter. Riding instructors, Police motorcyclists and a number of other industry experts will be on hand to help with a simple message -

Riding a motorcycle can and should be enjoyable, but as a vulnerable road user the correct information, training and clothing will make you a better and safer biker.

The RideSafe Rendezvous will be held on Sunday 15th April at Fairhaven Lake, Lytham St Annes. Gates open from 11am – 4pm and entry is free to all.
