STONER AND DE ANGELIS CRASHED

The 250 finishes with Sebastian Porto (Aprilia Aspar 250) in second behind Daniel Pedrosa that on the Phillip Island race track, obtained the victory conquering also the second world title.

Poro fought up to the end trying to contain Pedrosa that has exploited the wake of the Argentinian rider to the last curve to win the decisive competition for his second championship.

''I am happy - said Sebastian - but not totally satisfied. To the beginning I tried to push for brake to Pedrosa that instead has remained behind me and passed me at the last corner It was an hard race, I given my 100% to win, but it is all right so.''

Spectacular the accident of the third lap that involved Casey Stoner however (Carrera LCR) and Alex De Angelis (MS Aprilia Italia Corse). Stoner loses the control of his motorbike and De Angelis cannot avoid literally jumping on her. Both the riders finished the race on pit.

Stoner, that with the victories of the Malesia and Qatar, succeeded in reopening the world championship certainly had different intention to celebrate his twentieth birthday today.

To De Angelis bitterness stays to have thrown, guiltlessly a competition that saw him, up to the moment of the accident, in second position. Alex had to retire because of the due breakup of the front wheel in the impact with the Stoner’s bike.

''It was a pity - said De Angelis - we done a good job this week end and I could try to win.. However I want to thank the team for the good job done, now we’ve two race to go and I want to be always protagonist.''
