PORTO IN POLE
21 October 2005 - Aprilia
DE ANGELIS AND STONER IN THE FIRST ROW TOO
Aprilia protagonist on the new Istanbul Park circuit. In front of all Sebastian Porto (Aprilia Aspar 250), Alex De Angelis (MS Aprilia Italia Corse) and Casey Stoner (Carrera LCR). Sebastian Porto started the Turkish week end with a pole position with the time 1\''57\''408 showing to appreciate the Istanbul track. ''I am satisfied - commented the Argentinian - we have worked well. We are going to the correct direction, the track is quite technique. I hope to be able to improve tomorrow still and to do a beautiful week end.'' Alex De Angelis follows to alone 0,136 second and he makes to mark the taller maximum speed in 250 into Istambul Park, 266,5 km/hs. ''I like a lot this track - said Alex - I found some traffic at the end of the session that has slow down me in my best lap, tomorrow I will hold me away from the group. I believe to be ok but I still need to improve on the chassis to also avoid the consumption of the front tyre to the so much grip of the asphalt..'' Casey Stoner has detached the third time with 1\''57\''845. ''On a new circuit it is normal to have some small problems of setting - said Stoner - but between the morning and the afternoon we made a beautiful jump. The motorbike is decidedly improved and this has allowed me to make a good number of fast laps and driving with great safety. At the end I slipped in the second curve in slope, but is only treated of a banal accident. This footstep is very binding, but also beautiful and I feel me ready.'' In eighth position there is Randy De Puniet, that has seen his best lap ruined for the traffic. Among the protagonists returns also Roberto Locatelli. The 125 world ex champion has been protagonist of the first part of the official session, at the end the its 1\''58\''589 are worth the ninth place. ''I am lucky because I like this footstep - said Locatelli - and it is suitable to my driving characteristics. I am satisfied today for it, but I hope to make well Sunday.''
