DE ANGELIS IS THE FASTEST
22 October 2005 - Aprilia

STONER THE SECOND

Aprilia is still protagonist with Alex De Angelis as the best on the new Istanbul Park track.

The MS Aprilia Italia Corse rider y made in the two days of tests besides the pole in 1\''56\''930, also the maximum speeds, 263,6km/h today and 266,5km/h in the first yesterday’s session.

''I am happy above all for the fact to have gotten the pole on a circuit ever used before - said Alex - it is sign that our method of job is working well. We have been fast, since the free tests of Friday, this means that the complex bike-rider works. Today I have not had particular problems, I have pushed at the top but I have seen that I could also go strong with the competition tyre. This I have realized when I have rejoined to put for a long time the rubber, before I reentered my rhythm was very elevated however. Tomorrow\''s competition will be difficult, also because we are all near, we will see.''

In second position Casey Stoner (Carrera LCR), despite a straight in the conclusive seconds of the official session.

''For the truth - said Casey – I’m not so happy about today\''s day because we have made a change to the suspensions that is not very effective. With the new set up I could not brake with the due strength and aggressiveness until inside the curve and the motorbike has become difficult to drive. Tomorrow in the warm up we will have to find again the correct direction for the competition.''

Sebastian Porto is out from the first line with the fifth time. Also the Argentinian seems not to have centered the correct set up of the suspensions on the new Turkish layout.

''I am disappointed - Sebastian - yesterday we have done a good job, but today we’ve not improved. To the moment my motorbike is to the 80%, but I am sure that we can find tomorrow already an acceptable condition morning in the warm up.''

Aprilia is in struggle for the Championship of the World Brands class 250 to four points iridati from the peak.
