STONER IN POLE, PORTO IS FIFTH
04 November 2005 - Aprilia

Casey Stoner (Carrera Sunglasses LCR) confirmed him as one of the the strongest riders in the season conquering the provisional pole position on the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia.

The Australian rider has done his pole with the time 1\''36\''143, detaching of only 2 millesimis the World Champion Daniel Pedrosa.

''I feel well, the motorbike goes strong and I has not had particular difficulties - said Stoner - this morning it seemed only we had some sliding problem but now everything has gone to the best and I succeeded in making the pole position. I am satisfied but tomorrow we will need to defend the position looking forward to Sunday I’ll be able to make a beautiful competition.''

Fifth time and second provisional line for Sebastian Porto (Aprilia Aspar 250) with the his 1\''36\''522.

''I don\''t believe has gone badly - said Sebastian - I am alone to 3 tenth from the pole. Tomorrow we will have a whole turn to progress, the motorbike it goes strong but something still misses us, we are on the correct road to be able to make a beautiful competition Sunday however.''
