13 February 2007 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 STEVE Johnston has blasted back at speculation over his return to the UK after an alledged incident in an Adelaide bar. The Oxford rider is angry with the way the matter has been reported and is keen to stress it has no influence on his plans for the new season. Johnston said: ''I can assure everyone I’ll be flying back to England on March 1 and I''m raring to go!” SPEEDWAY 2 DAVID Howe is set to partner Peter Karlsson in Wolverhampton’s riding order this season. Howe is back at Monmore Green after a miserable year on loan to Oxford. ''PK rang me the other night and we had a long chat about things whi! ch was great,'' said Howe. ''He''s a great bloke and a great rider, he''s someone I''ve always respected and I''m delighted to be in the team with him again.”
