NEW APPOINTMENT FOR HARLEY-DAVIDSON
12 February 2007 - Harley-Davidson UK

A good investment for Harley-Davidson Financial Services

Harley-Davidson Financial Services (HDFS) has appointed Kevin Roberts as its new County Operations Manager. Kevin started his career in the motorcycle industry as a National Sales Manager for Black Horse and during that time he became familiar with many of Harley-Davidson’s nationwide dealers.

The motorcycle enthusiast was responsible for managing Harley-Davidson Finance from 2000 to 2005 on behalf of Black Horse, before moving on to head up his employer’s relationship with Kia cars.

Kevin has worked within the financial industry for the past 20 years and his experience will be invaluable to HDFS. He is already focusing on the year ahead and has set himself challenging aims and objectives within his new role.

These include forging a closer relationship with the UK dealer network and optimising consumer awareness of the range of financial services provided by Harley-Davidson. Motorcyclists can buy into the legendary brand’s lifestyle and ownership experience with the help of various loans and protect this outlay with a number of insurance packages.

Loans can be offered on a fixed-term basis or can be more flexible to suit the needs of the purchaser. For example, Harley Own™ lets customers borrow from £1,000 upwards to purchase a motorcycle and keep the fixed payments low by deferring much of the cost to the end of the agreement.

These payments can be protected against a variety of unfortunate circumstances, such as critical illness or unemployment through HDFS. Gap insurance is also available as well as tailored motorcycle insurance cover. Harley Rider Insurance enables customer to protect themselves and their motorcycle.

However, the ultimate accessories for Harley-Davidson enthusiasts are the chrome and platinum credit cards. These provide benefits such as zero per cent interest as well as the opportunity to display brand affinity.

“This is a new and exciting challenge with lots of opportunities,” says Kevin. “I am really looking forward to working once again with the UK dealer network and building on the brand that is Harley-Davidson.”
