SPEEDWAY 1

ICE expert Wayne Broadhurst won his fourth British Open Championship after a bumper day of racing at Telford.
Braodhurst needed a run-off with Newport’s Phil Morris to take the title with veteran Les Collins third.
An England Select beat the Rest of the World 53-25 in the afternoon session with Wolverhampton’s David Howe top scoring on 11+1 and Atkin and Edward Kennett won the Speedway Star Best Pairs.

SPEEDWAY 2

AMERICAN showman Billy Janniro has revealed he has agreed a new deal to stay with Elite League Coventry.
Janniro flew back into the UK at the weekend to race in the Telford ice meetings and the n! ews was announced to the crowd.
“Everything was agreed on Saturday and I was asked if it could be announced on parade at Telford, so I said go for it! I’m pleased to be back,” said Janniro.
