SIMONCELLI’S AGAIN THE KING OF JEREZ

The 125 class season starts in the best way for Aprilia. Marco Simoncelli, and his RS 125 have won the Spain GP.
The Italian driver has dominated the week end with 2 pole positions and a victory. After the start, Simoncelli hasn’t in a good position burnt away by a good departure of Mattia Pasini that in the first turn was in front of the group. The struggle for the first positions included 8 drivers fighting to climb the standings. After a long head to head with Luthi (Honda), Lai (the same), Kallio (KTM) and Nieto (Derbi), Marco Simoncelli succeeded to the difficult conditions of the track. The strong wind didn\''t help the drivers in the changes of direction and transported into the track a lot of dust. At the end of the race Marco Simoncelli finished, with advantage on his pursuers, first to the chess flag. ''Fantastic - said radiant the Team NoCable’s eighteen year-old - I have not a victory since last year when I won here under heavy rain. The conditions of the race were not the maximum, the behavior of the motorbike was strange because the whole wind. Then dust made my bike ugly. I hope to continue to do this kind of results in all the season.\'' Almost satisfied was Mattia Pasini, fourth at the end. ''I am sorry only not to have been able to fight for the podium - said Mattia – there was too much wind and the track was too dangerous cause the sand. However it has been a beautiful competition, I have always been in struggle. I have seen that the lead group was very close and I preferred to wait. When I could go to pick them up, the bike didn\''t hold anymore behind and I have preferred to reach the finishing line with the possible most points for the championship.” The Marco Simoncelli’s performance of allows to Aprilia to begin to the best way the season with the first 25 points conquered in the category.
