FAUBEL ON THE PODIUM

Only eight millesimis separated Hector Faubel from the victory of the Portugal GP.

The Master Aspar Team Driver made an aggressive competition. Faubel started from the first row with the fourth time.

''I have tried to win til the end - said Faubel - but it is me missed the speed in gone out of the last curve. And\'' is a competition really fought. I will look for to make better still the next competition.\''

With this result Faubel is in third position in world classification with 29 points, behind Marco Simoncelli that with today\''s points it is at 31.

Difficult race for Mattia Pasini. The Totti Top Sport Team’s driver has fought for the fourth position but at the end he is had to be satisfied with the eighth plaza.

\''Unfortunately I have not been able to do more - said Mattia - I didn\''t succeed in driving as I would have liked. To the beginning I was with the group of the first ones but all of a sudden the lever of the back brake is broken and I didn\''t succeed in bending anymore as I wanted.\''

Only tenth Mark Simoncelli. For the winner of the Jerez race the things have not gone to the correct side. Simoncelli departed with the third best lap time and he had made some up and down tests. In the race he has not had the lunge to be with the protagonists.
