PASINI WINS HIS FIRST COMPETITION IN SHANGHAI

Mattia Pasini is the winner of the first competition of the history of the World Championship in China.

The rider of the Totti Top Sport team battled since the first laps with Fabrizio Lai (Honda) in a competition characterized by a strong rain that has delayed the start of the race. While the two leaders was in battle Marco Simoncelli was among the first. The of NoCable Team rider that started in second row, not succeeded in immediately inserting him in the group of the first. At the end he was seventh to the chess flag.

Excited on the higher roof of podium, Mattia didn\''t succeed in expressing the joy for his first victory of the career gotten with a proper passing on the rectilinear one of arrival. The 25 points gotten today bring Mattia Pasini in 3° position in Rider’s World Championship with 46 points.

To think that yesterday we have had some problems, but the team has done a good job. Fortunately I/you/they have succeeded in being calm up to the end. I have to say that I/you/they are also had a good time me driving under the rain.\''

Satisfied for the fact to have reached points it is Marco Simoncelli, seventh to the finishing line and in fourth position in Rider’s World Championship with 41 points.

\''If it were dry it was better - said Mark - but at the end all has been over our expectation. I have mistaken the start, I was recovering but more than a risk I have taken and I have preferred to reach the end for the points.\''

With the today\''s performance, Aprilia conquers the top of the World Manufacter Championship with 70 points.
