NEW STUFF FOR THE RSS 125
04 June 2005 - Aprilia

FAUBEL AND PASINI IN THE FIRST ROW

Hector Faubel and Mattia Pasini will start in the first row of the 125’s Italian round. Faubel (Master Aspar team) has succeeded in improving yesterday\''s performance 0\''125, with his best lap time in 1\''59\''712.

Mattia Pasini loses a position and he not succeeded in improving his time but he has succeeded in maintaining the first line.

\''I don\''t complain me - said Mattia - today I have preferred to work for the competition. I fell already a lot of pain in my left hand but the fact to have maintained the first line it will help me for tomorrow. The track this year is full of holes, I believed to find better conditions.\''

Little back from Pasini we find Marco Simoncelli (NoCable team) in fifth position with the time 1\''59\''796, better than yesterday\''s reference of 0\''436. Simoncelli, Pasini and Faubel are trying some new aerodynamic components from Aprilia. It’s a new aerodynamic packet with a more narrow ferrule in the anterior part endowed with two small proper flap behind the anterior wheel, two loopholes for the exit of the air in the back part and a new back joined to a new tapered pigtail whose function is that to offer more space to the movements of the legs.

\''The new hull works really well - said Simoncelli - the advantages I find are especially in the changes of direction and the new seat it is proper for my height, I now succeed in moving better on the bike among the legs. I am sorry for today\''s tests because I would have been able to do better, but the traffic in footstep has not allowed me to do better. Tomorrow the competition is a whole other thing.\''
