A PASINI’S SOLO IN 125

Mattia Pasini (Totti Top Sport NGS) mades a solo race and wins the Gp of Catalunya with 9 seconds of advantage on Marco Simoncelli (NoCable Team).

Pasini, went off from the first row thanks to the second best lap time conquered in the official qualifying session, immediately fought in the leading group. Mark Simoncelli, however, made a bad start and he was near the 15th position after 4 laps.

\''It was victory that throws on the moral one to all - said Pasini - mine and the team. This week end is the result of a good job by the boys of the team and Aprilia that I want to thank. I have immediately tried to take my rhythm and I done. After Le Mans, when I broke my left wrist I didn\''t believe I could return so early to the victory. The worth for this goes above all to the Clinica Mobile’s doctor. I hope to be able to make another competition as today.\''

Alone on the finishing line, Pasini is again in head to the World’s Rider Championship with 84 points.

Satisfaction also for Marco Simoncelli that had a hard race to make up for a not brilliant start.

\''I fault the start again - said Mark – and than I was so far from the first. Then I had a contact with Kuzuhara and for a miracle I haven’t crash. To that point I have put my head in the fairing and I have thought only about reassembling. I have to thank really all the boys of the team for this podium.\''

Marco, thanks to the 20 points conquered today it strengthens his 5° place in the world championship.

Thanks to the results of the GP of Catalunya, Aprilia leading world manufacter chamoionship with 131 points.
