SIMONCELLI AND PASINI IN PROVISIONAL FRONT ROW
16 September 2005 - Aprilia

Marco Simoncelli (NoCable Team) and Mattia Pasini (Totti Top Sport NGS) have finished the first qualifying session respectively in second and fourth position.

On the Motegi racetarck, Marco Simoncelli has succeeded in making his best time in 1\''59\''682 to 0\''545 from the pole (by Mika Kallio).

“Racing on this track for me is very fatiguing - said Simoncelli - I have the same problems that I had to Brno where the motorbike had some problems to go out of the slow corners. I now hope to do tomorrow also well and for the race. The particularity of the asphalt of Motegi, in fact, is that when the temperature increases dirty comes out that it makes the asphalt slippery. Today making my best lap I have not had problems of traffic, I am almost always succeeded to be alone. \''

Immediately behind the ex Champion of the World Manuel Poggiali, Mattia Pasini has stopped the chronometer at 1\''59\''821 that means the fourth place of the first provisional line.

\''We are not to the 100% for the bike’s setting yet - said Pasini - we still have to do better in the chassis, but I am sure that we will come in front tomorrow. After all, every time that we have had some problems, we have had on beautiful Sundays, for this I am confident. Tomorrow I will try to be even more before.\''

Behind Pasini, in fifth position we find Hector Faubel (Master Aspar Team) with the time 1\''59\''937, while in 12° position and in third provisional line there is the teammate Sergi Gadea (Master Aspar Team) that has not succeeded in doing better than 2\''00\''678.
