PASINI IS IN FIRST ROW IN MOTEGI
17 September 2005 - Aprilia

Mattia Pasini (Totti Top Sport NGS) and Marco Simoncelli (NoCable Team) will will start from the first row in the 125 japanese round Pasini improved his yesterday’s best lap of over eight tenth, stopping the chronometer to 1\''58\''970.

''This morning - said Mattia - we have had some difficulties to be fast. Otherwise in the second qualifying session we worked well and for tomorrow\''s race I’m confident. The Championship is still open and I want to come away from Japan with the best result I can. ''

Marco Simoncelli has lost his second position but not the first line. The NoCable’s rider improved his time of 0.644 in comparison to yesterday\''s session stopping the chronometer at 1\''59\''038.

\''I’m confident ‘cause I haven’t left the front row - said Marco - however I am not disappointed, the bike is fast and we have to resolve some problems to the front. In some turn I haven’t the correct stability, but tomorrow in the warm up we should be ready to fight. I hope to start well, my weight doesn\''t help the bike, and here is very important to be fast before the first turn. Surely we will have a race with a leading group in which it won\''t be possible losing the concentration.\''

The Spaniard Hector Faubel (Master Aspar Team) will start from second row.

In comparison to the time done in the first qualifying session, Faubel has improved of almost eight tenth stopping the chronometer to 1\''59\''143.

\''I’m confident to do a very good race on this track - said Hector – we find a good set up for the chassis. I hope to start better than other race I did but after all the second row doesn’t appear so bad.\''

Aprilia is currently second position in the 125 Contructor Championship with 196 points, -17 from the peak.
