PASINI AND SIMONCELLI PROTAGONISTS
23 September 2005 - Aprilia
Marco Simoncelli (NoCable Team) and Mattia Pasini (Totti Top Sport NGS) are the two most combative riders of the 125 class.
After the first qualifying session in the Malaysian Gp, Simoncelli conquered the first provisional row with the second best time 2\''15\''499 behind Di Meglio. Together with the NoCable rider there is also in the first row Mattia Pasini which, stopping the chronometer to 2\''15\''712, occupies the fourth position. The warm dampness of the Malesia has conditioned the session’s carrying out, interrupted a few minutes before the official end from the most greater part of the riders for rain. \''Water has caught us by surprise - said Simoncelli - but I am not sorry of it, rather. This morning, during the free tests, I was not too much confident, we have worked better then on the bike and the second place it goes very well.\'' \''The rain – Pasini mades echo to Simoncelli - ruined us the last 5 minutes of the session, those decisive to make the time. I am satisfied however, because this morning just begun the free session, I have crashed and this has made me lose the time in the debugging of the motorbike. With the team we have worked good and being so before, if tomorrow it had to rain it is already an advantage.\'' Again in sight in the official tests has been Hector Faubel (Master Aspar Team) that has concluded in ninth position with the time 2\''16\''424. The Spanish pilot, third in the Japan race, precedes Joan Olive (NoCable) in 11° position and Lorenzo Zanetti (Skilled Racing) in 12°. The italian concluded the morning free session with the 22th time and he succeeded in improving his performance during the first official session of almost two seconds. \''I have succeeded in almost immediately making my lap - said Lawrence Zanetti - then I have had a technical problems that has not allowed me to turn for big part of the turn. The rain, has jeopardized finally my fast turn, but I am happy to have improved in comparison to this morning.\''
