SPEEDWAY 1 WORLD champion Jason Crump arrived back in the UK next week to step up preparations for the new season. Crump has joined Poole on a full transfer from Belle Vue and as well as defending his world crown he wants the Elite League title. He said: “I hope I can be alongside Bjarne Pedersen, Craig Boyce and the boys in a Poole team that can bring silverware back to Wimborne Road.” SPEEDWAY 2 PHIL Morris believes the race for the British Open Ice title at Telford on Sunday is wide open. Another bumper crowd is expected at the Shropshire rink for a bumper day of racing including an international challenge between! an England select and Rest of the World. Morris said: “A Conference League rider can be just as good as someone from the Elite League if they have the right set-up.” FIXTURE SUNDAY FEBRUARY 11: TELFORD INDOOR ICE INTERNATIONAL: 3pm & 7.30
