APRILIA LEADING THE WAY THE 125 PRACTICES

The first day of practice to begin the 2006 season saw the Aprilia riders compete in the 125 and 250 classes on the Jerez de la Frontera circuit.

Notwithstanding the track conditions in the morning practice that were not perfect (due to rain the night before) the Aprilia 125 riders were able to fight it out for the top positions in this opening practice to start the 2006 season. The best Aprilia rider came from the Master Aspar team, and was Alvaro Bautista finishing second with a time of 1´48.099.

Fifth, and first of the second row was Mattia Pasini, teammate to Bautista with a time of 1`48”557. Pasini spent time working on a comfortable set for Sunday´s race, and was slightly unsettled in practice due to the morning conditions, however he was still able to produce a good time.
