DEFINITIVE DATES FOR 2006 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
25 October 2005 - Aprilia
With one race left until the end of the World Championships, the game of assigning the 2006 race dates (that will see our Aprilias in the starting grid) is over.
Straight from an official communication from FIM (the International Motorcycle Federation), here are the newly unveiled and definitive dates for the upcoming season. It will begin on March 26th at Jerez de la Frontera for the Spanish Gp and will follow to Qatar’s desert Gp on April 8th. At the end of the same month it will move to Turkey on the 30th and then May 14th it will be China’s turn. Everyone to France for May 21st on the mythical circuit of Le Mans. At the beginning of June it will be the traditional engagement for Italian fans since the motorcycles will be in Mugello on the 4th. June 18th, a bit like last year, it will be Catalonia’s turn for the Gp in Barcelona that is scheduled close to the Assen installment on June 24th and Donington Park on July 2nd. July 16th the Gp will be on center stage at Sachsenring in Germany. On the 23rd it will be the US’ turn, but only for the MotoGp. August 20th, almost a month after the US date, it will be the Czech Republic’s turn for the Gp. The intercontinental triple will begin on September 10th with the Malaysian Gp in Sepang. It will then be Australia’s turn on September 17th and will end in Japan on the 24th. After almost a month of rest it will arrive in Portugal for their GP on October 22nd, raced at Estoril.
