HELMETS AND SHOES PLAY MAJOR PART FOR SUPERBIKER RIDERS Feridax Announce 2007 Race Line-up As importers of Shoei helmets and Sidi boots, Feridax is a major player in the British Superbike Race Paddock. After a brilliant 2006, which saw Shoei riders win 3 British championships and 3 Isle of Man TT races, and Sidi riders win 2 British Championships and 3 TT’s, 2007 sees an even bigger investment and commitment to racing. Reigning British Superbike Champion Ryuichi Kiyonari returns to defend his hard won British Superbike Championship and will continue to rely on the Support of Shoei and Sidi. Kiyo will also have 3 Shoei X-Spirit replica helmet designs for sale in the UK in 2007. The British Superbike Championship will see Shoei’s race line-up increased to include BSB favourites Karl Harris, Michael Rutter, Shane Byrne, Tommy Hill and James Haydon. BSB newcomers Tom Sykes and Simon Andrews will also spend 2007 supported by Shoei. Stuart Easton, Billy McConnell, John McGuiness, Martin Jessop, the Centurion racing team of Pete Spalding and James Westmorland and last year’s British 125cc Champion Dan Cooper head up Shoei’s attack in the fiercely competitive British Supersport Championship. In the popular British Superstock Championship Luke Quigley, John Laverty, Les Shand and the Astro Vans race team will be representing Shoei. At the major Road races Shoei will have front runners and previous winners Michael Rutter, John McGuiness and Ian Lougher looking for victory in what promises to be one of the hottest contested road racing seasons for a long time. All riders will be using the Shoei X-Spirit or Shoei XR1000 helmets. The X-spirit has been voted Rider Power helmet of the year for the last 3 years, whilst the XR1000 continues to be the most popular helmet in the Shoei Sidi’s CE approved Vertigo Corsa boot will be adorning the feet of the champions, winners and lap record holders in 2007. The Sidi line-up will see Kiyonari, Rutter, Harris, Haydon, Andrews, Jessop, Cooper, McGuiness, Shand, Laverty and Clarke all putting the Vertigo Corsa through its paces. Shoei,s race support will be on hand at all the BSB and UK World SBK rounds and various other motorcycle events throughout 2007 and will be available to the public for advice and servicing.
