ANDREAS Jonssson is to make a rare British appearance - at Sam Ermolenko''s farewell meeting next month.
The former Coventry and Arena-Essex man, who is staying in Sweden to focus on his assualt on the world title, finished fourth last season and his appearance at ''Sudden Sam''s Flaming Farewell'' means the 1993 world champion has four of the world''s top five riders in his meeting. Ermolenko is excited by the way his big day, on Sunday March 18 at Wolverhampton, is shaping up - and he''s promising a massive announcement soon. ''Andreas said he''d hoped I would call him and he''s looking forward to coming over here to do my meeting,'' said Ermolenko. ! ''Apart from the British Grand Prix at Cardiff and the World Cup, this could be the only chance for British fans to see Andreas in action and I''m so delighted he''s agreed to do the meeting. ''This, on the back of last week''s news that Leigh Adams will be with me, means the start of the line-up is awesome. Four of bthe world''s top five guys in the world, wow, that''s amazing! All I need now is my buddy Nicki Pedersen to do it!'' Ermolenko is even more excited by an announcement he is due to make in the near future. ''This is on the begninning, buddy!'' said Sam. ''It''s going to get bigger and bigger as we build up to the meeting and the announcement I will be making soon will excite so many people, watch this space!'' Riders confirmed so far for the event are: Jason Crump, Greg Hancock, Andreas Jonsson and Leigh Adams. Ermolenko is also expected to include the bulk of the 2007 Wolverhampton team, including his fellow Californian and 1996 world champion Billy Hamill.!
