DE NARDI FLIES TOWARDS THE TITLE
14 June 2005 - Aprilia

A pole position, the best time in a race, and the first rider to reach the checkered flag

On the Croatian track of Grobnik, the second test of the Female European Championship witnessed the triumph of our Samuela De Nardi atop the RSV 1000 as she dominated the entire weekend with test and race times that were unapproachable by her adversaries.

The qualifications in fact saw the rider from Conegliano stop the chronometer with more than two seconds of advantage (with a fantastic 1.36.060) introducing a race of absolute dominance. She set off in the pole position and immediately asserted her command of the race. Samuela then knowingly increased the gap held on her competitors with as much as eight seconds ahead of her French competitor, Migout. A decisive and indisputable supremacy confirmed by her single-lap race record of 1.36.743.
The victory at Grobnik, repeating her earlier success at Vallelunga, reinforces the leading position of Samuela in the 1000cc general classification that sees her as the forerunner with 50 points (as opposed to the 40 of Migout and the 24 of Martin).
The next and last engagement of the Female Europeans is set for August 21st on the German track of Schleiz. Only the Migout can still threaten the number one Samuela, who will only need a few points to win the European title.
