09 February 2007 - Rizla-Suzuki

THE all-new Suzuki GSX-R1000 will be officially released in the UK on Saturday 24th February 2007 at an authorised dealership near you.

The Rizla Suzuki riders – Chris Walker, Cal Crutchlow and John Reynolds - will also be making appearances at dealerships around the UK to celebrate the launch of the new, most powerful and advanced GSX-R ever built – details on the dealerships they will attend will be released on www.rizla-suzuki.co.uk soon.

Featuring sharp styling, a mighty new engine with adjustable power settings to match riding conditions and a race-bred chassis, the new GSX-R1000 promises to continue where its predecessor left off – setting new standards and leading from the front.

The 24th February is also the day the new GSX-R1000 will take on the competition in anger for the first time at the opening round of the World Superbike Championship at Qatar, with Max Biaggi and Yukio Kagayama going for glory.

Paul de Lusignan, Suzuki’s Marketing Manager, said: “Saturday the 24th of February is going to be a very special day for Suzuki and performance bike enthusiasts in the UK. Our dealers are excited, the bike is awesome and there is even racing on the day to whet your appetite. Mark the date in your diaries; it’s going to be a great day with the GSX-R1000 very much the star of the show.”
