27 October 2004 - MCI Exhibitions Ltd

Charismatic rising star of Moto GP racing, Shinya Nakano, has today confirmed that he and his 990cc ZX-RR race bike will appear on the Kawasaki stand at the upcoming International Motorcycle Show in Birmingham.

As famous for putting the stunning Kawasaki ZX-RR Moto GP machine on the podium as for surviving the world''s fastest ever Moto GP crash at over 200mph, the 27 year-old Japanese rider is set to be one of the stars of this year''s show.

Shinya - who speaks conversational English - will be appearing at regular intervals on the Kawasaki Motors stand T51 in Hall 18 on Press Day (4 Nov) and Preview Day (5 Nov), as well as appearing on the Blackhorse Finance stage to be interviewed by BBC Moto GP commentator, Steve Parrish, as part of the MCN Paddock feature.

His ZX-RR, along with a selection of other racing machinery including Hawk Racing British Superbike machinery and Ryan Farquhar''s TT winning ZX-6R will also be an integral part of the Kawasaki stand. Commenting on Nakano''s visit, KMUK Marketing Manager, Martin Lambert said, ''With racing so important to UK riders, the chance to meet Shinya and see his ZX-RR is a real coup for us and we hope as many Kawasaki fans as possible take this unique chance to meet him.''
