VICTORY IN THE GRAND FINALE OF MAGIONE
20 September 2005 - Aprilia
She was the first to arrive at the checkered flag in a grand finale that confirmed not only her talent but her grit.
The very same grit belonging to those who don’t know the word “quit”. For Samuela De Nardi and her RSV 1000, the victory came in this the last round of the Trofeo Motocicliste (Motorcyclistic Trophy) and consolidated second place in the final rating for the rider from Vittorio Veneto, just behind the winner, Paola Cazzola. The race at Magione would have allowed her to surpass her lone rival in the classification only if the competitive Cazzola did not finish the race. Racing with this in mind, Samuela employed her own approach and was aggressive from the first turns notwithstanding the heavy rain. De Nardi, in the first row thanks to Saturday’s optimal time, actually attempted to lure her rival into error during the penultimate lap when she opted definitely to surpass her and win the race. After magnificent success on the European scene and this season’s great performances at the international Endurance tracks, Samuela will need to try again next year for a chance at the Torneo Motocicliste (Motorcyclistic Tournament title. Unfortunately, the fall in Varano proved to be fatal as it was the only segment where Samuela was left empty handed, allowing Cazzola to escape her in the general classification. Therefore, the results of our rider and others in the tournament are optimal as they included two victories and two 2nd places out of the five races, numbers to stress that certainly represent what’s to come in next year’s edition. In the meantime, an applause for Samuela and the team for this year’s great performance that you can check out at the link below (in Italian language).
