THE LAST HIGH NOTE IN VALLELUNGA
11 October 2005 - Aprilia
Another great performance for our RSV 1000 and the Team Aprilia Motociclismo in the last round of the World Endurance Championship, where our Aprilia confirmed itself as the fastest Stock bike and gained a great 11th place finish in the international tournament.
On the circuit at Vallelunga, the 1000cc from Noale knew how to live up to its great previous performances and once again labeled herself as the best series motorcycle on the track (with the only exception of the exhausts and the tricky rapid refueling). The riders, Federico Aliverti and Daniele Veghini, alternated turns in the saddle without problems along the 200 expected miles. They marked a good rhythm throughout the entire race and increased their final pace to become the 11th motorcycle to cross the finish line. 11th place is also the position with which Team Aprilia Motociclismo closes out the great experience of this season, thanks especially to the five points gained at the Vallelunga race, the thirteen acquired at Oschersleben (the German track), and the four from the mythical Suzuka. An important and prestigious final result that, on the difficult world stage, underlines the trustworthiness of the Aprilia RSV’s sporty gifts. Therefore, an applause for all of members of the team as we bring you the final classification of the season here below: 134p. - Suzuki-Castrol Team - FRA - Suzuki GSX-R1000 77 - Bolliger Team Switzerland - SUI - Kawasaki ZX10R 62 - Yamaha Austria Racing Team - AUT - Yamaha YZF-R1 57 - Yamaha Phase One Endurance - GBR - Yamaha YZF-R1 48 - Diablo 666 Bolliger - GBR - Kawasaki ZX10R 47 - Shell Endurance Academy - GBR - Yamaha YZF-R1 43 - No Limits & RT Racing Team - ITA - Suzuki GSX-R1000 30 - Seven Stars Honda 7 - JPN - Honda CBR1000RRW 24 - Folch Endurance 23 - SPA - Yamaha YZF-R1 24 - Seven Stars Honda 11 - JPN - Honda CBR1000RRW 22 - Aprilia Motociclismo Test Team - ITA - Aprilia RSV1000R 21 - Bridgestone Bikers Profi - GER - Suzuki GSX-R1000 20 - Team Fagersjo-el.se - SWE - Suzuki GSX-R1000 16 - Ducati Spring Team - ITA - Ducati 999 16 - Team X-One - ITA - Yamaha YZF-R1 15 - Suzuki Austria Team 76 - AUT - Suzuki GSX-R1000 14 - Fagersjo-el.se 2 - SWE - Suzuki GSX-R1000 13 - Yoshimura Suzuki Jomo Srixon - JPN - Suzuki GSX-R1000 13 - Team RMT 21 - GER - Kawasaki ZX10R 12 - Sapeurs Pompiers 18 - FRA - Suzuki GSX-R1000 12 - Int Power Factory Roadway - JPN - Suzuki GSX-R1000 11 - Fabi Corse - ITA - Suzuki GSX-R1000 10 - Akai Sanrinsha Racing Club - JPN - Honda CBR1000RR 9 - Maco Moto Racing Team - SLO - Yamaha YZF-R1 8 - Team Power Bike - FRA - Yamaha YZF-R1 7 - DRT Banana Hands - JPN - Yamaha YZF-R1 7 - Eurosport Benelux - NED - Suzuki GSX-R1000 7 - Projecteam Honda - GER - Honda CBR1000RR 6 - Team Suzuki Nederland - NED - Suzuki GSX-R1000 6 - Team Twenty One Meister Evolve - JPN - Suzuki GSX-R1000 4 - Innodrom Racing - GER - Suzuki GSX-R1000 3 - Cro-Moto 1 Valvoline - CRO - Suzuki GSX-R1000 3 - Race Support Achterhoek - NED - Suzuki GSX-R1000 2 - Bridgestone Bikers Profi II - GER - Suzuki GSX-R1000 2 - Burger King Lust - GER - MV Agusta 1000 F4 2 - Team Surf Suzuki - JPN - Suzuki GSX-R1000 2 - Fagersjo-el.se 3 - SWE - Suzuki GSX-R1000 1 - HMF Verity - JPN - Suzuki GSX-R1000 1 - Polizei NRW - GER - Suzuki GSX-R1000
