DE NARDI IS SECOND AT MISANO A great performance by Samuela De Nardi in the first round of the Women’s Italian Championship. Dominating the qualifying session with an incredible best lap in 1.42.3, the rider from Vittorio Veneto did an excellent job of catching up to Paola Cazzola during the race, who was out in front of everyone at the green light; Samuela came in less than a second behind Cazzola. Despite the best lap time also in the race, with 1.42.5 in her fastest lap and 1.43 on average, which will be equal to many of the times of the male riders racing at Misano (such as Guareschi, Veghini, and Bentivogli), her performance was negated by the last lap, when a difficult lapping put the breaks on her final attack on Cazzola. Second place, however, only two tenths of a second behind the winner, conferms the potential of our Samulea, who will be out on the track again next Sunday, April 2nd, for the first race of the European Championship on the track at Vallelunga.
