DOUBLE TRIP TO CANADA AND THE US
03 July 2006 - Aprilia

Team Aprilia Enduro is getting ready to disembark in America.

The details of the operative plan have been arranged for the double international transfer for the Canadian Gp on July 15th and 16th to be followed the next week by the American Grand Prix.

Already (on July 3rd), the six containers carrying the four motorcycles and support materials will be put aboard a plane at Milano Malpensa headed for Toronto. Then, once in the capital of Ontario, the materials will be transported to Parry Sound where the World Championship round will take place. Two mini-vans will also be rented for the two races.

Instead, the riders will leave on July 10th with the rest of the team for Parry Sound. After the Canadian Gp, they will head towards Hancock in the US, a community close to the Canadian border. The program has them returning to Italy from Toronto on July 25th, right in time to allow Alessandro Botturi (engaged in the E2 worlds atop an Aprilia RXV 4.5) to take part in the Xtreme of Lumezzane.

After grinding his teeth in the Italian Gp due to a throbbing knee, Alex Zanni has recuperated and is in good physical shape. He and his Aprilia RXV 5.5 promise more than a battle in the trials on the other side of the ocean where they will be engaged in the E3 class.

At a technical level, both Botturi’s RXV 4.5 and Zanni’s RSV 5.5 will adopt the “mono-tube” exhaust that was already used in the Enduro Assoluti d’Italia in Bosio and the Italian Gp in Rovetta. Also, both bikes will benefit from small ulterior refinements at a technical and mechanical level.
