WORLD NO 5 JOINS LEGEND''S BIG DAY
02 February 2007 - Wolverhampton Speedway
LEIGH Adams is the latest big name to be added to Sam Ermolenko''s farewell meeting at Wolverhampton on March 18. And that means three of the top five riders in the world have already been confirmed for the event which brings down the curtain on one of the most remarkable careers the sport has ever seen. Ermolenko, who is just back from a whistle-stop trip to California, has been busy talking to riders all over the world as he bids to assemble a line-up fit for a Grand Prix. ''It''s going to be one of the biggest line-ups ever seen at Wolverhampton,'' said Ermolenko. ''And Leigh Adams is now a part of that. What can I say, it just keeps getting bigger and bigger and the fans are going to love it. ''It''s getting so exciting now, Leigh was very keen to say yes and we had a good chat on the phone. I''ve been stuck back in cold England at the same time as tracking down guys like Leigh and Jason in Australia and they all seem to be having a good time out there. I hope they have a good time at my meeting as well, along with everyone else. ''The plans are falling into place for the extra attractions on the day, we''ve got an unsigned rock band looking for a recording contract who are going to be promoted by a radio station at my event and all sorts of other things happening.'' The racing starts at 4pm but gates will open at 12.30pm for fans to enjoy the build-up to the special day. And details will be released soon of an incentive for the first few people who buy tickets in advance to meet Sam and the riders ahead of the meeting. Ermolenko is also close to finalising ticket details for the event and corporate packages and is urging fans to keep checking back on his website www.suddensamsflaming farewell.com
