BRITISH stars Lee Richardson and Scott Nicholls have been named amongst the five nominated riders for the 2005 Grand Prix series.

Danish duo Hans Andersen and Bjarne Pedersen along with Australian Ryan Sullivan will also join the automatic qualifiers. Race director Ole Olsen said: ''All 15 riders for the 2005 season are capable of winning a Grand Prix or the World Championship. We will see hugely exciting racing next year.''

MILDENHALL overcame Oxford to reach the Knockout Cup Final and are now bidding to make history with by winning a clean sweep of honours at Conference level. The Tigers will stage the first leg of the Final against Boston at West Row on Monday after their delayed semi was finally completed. Mildenhall promoter Graham Drury said: ''We wanted it more than Oxford, and we have got what we deserved.''
