SPEEDWAY 1

ARENA-ESSEX will be known as Lakeside Hammers in a bold move by new owner Stuart Douglas.
Leigh Lanham and Paul Hurry are the final two team members for the new era.
Douglas said: “Arena-Essex will remain a big part of how people refer to us - it''s our home. All I''ve done is added a bit of potential to the mix. We are the Lakeside Hammers at Arena Essex and we''re promising a very exciting season.''

SPEEDWAY 2

STOKE have signed 19-year-old Guy Kendrew on a full contract after he impressed at one of their training schools.
Kendrew has a background in trials riding but was attracted to speedway by his local track, Redcar.
He said: ''I wanted to get into racing and had thought about moto-cross. But I got hooked when I saw speedway and I am going to concentrate on that now.”
