ARAI RESTRUCTURE CAR RACING HELMET DISTRIBUTION As from January 2007, Phoenix Distribution have assumed responsibility for the Arai Car Racing range in the UK. Both companies have a long history of working together, as Phoenix (previously Belstaff International) has been the UK distributor of Arai’s motorcycle helmet range since 1985, a relationship which has successfully resulted in Arai becoming the most desirable and aspirational motorcycle helmet brand in the UK. Phoenix have a strong sales and marketing foundation and, together with Arai, will use their knowledge and experience to promote the car helmet range and extend the UK dealer network whilst continuing to work closely with the previous distributor, Grand Prix Racewear (GPR), who distributed Arai from 1995 to 2006. This move will result in motorsport equipment specialist, GPR, maintaining its strong position as the UK’s premier retailer for Arai Car Racing helmets and accessories whilst supporting Phoenix to continue to build the Arai brand in the UK market. Commenting, Phoenix Managing Director, Mr John Wakefield, said “We are delighted to have been appointed distributor of the Arai car helmet range and will give it the same high level of commitment and support we already give to the Motorcycle range. Grand Prix Racewear has done an excellent job in the past 11 years, and we look forward to supporting them in the future as one of the major retailers”.
