29 August 2006 - Aprilia
2007 CALENDAR
The International Federation has released the provisionary calendar for the upcoming 2007 season. It contains a lot of news. Finally, the San Marino Gp (and of the Rimini Riviera) is included in the list after being left out for the past fourteen years. The second “Italian” race will be raced on September 2, 2007 just before the traditional transoceanic trip to Japan, Australia, and Malaysia. The show will no longer kick off in Jerez but in Doha, Qatar on March 17th. The second stop will be on the Andalusian circuit that will play host to the Spanish Gp on March 25th, followed by China on April 22nd. It will then move to Turkey on May 6th and onto France on the 20th for the race at Le Mans. The Italian Gp will be held in Mugello on June 3rd, the first of four races that month. It will be Barcelona’s turn on the 10th for the Catalonian Gp, the 24th in Great Britain, and then in Assen on the 30th (a Saturday like Qatar). A short break until July 15th when it will be Germany’s turn. The MotoGp alone will then travel to Monterrey in America to race at Laguna Seca on the 22nd. It will then head to the Czech Republic on August 19th and then proceed to San Marino (at Misano) for the “Gp of the Titan”. The transoceanic voyage will then be followed by the conclusion that, just like this year, will include Portugal and Valencia on October 28th and November 4th. Here are the dates in detail: QATAR GP MARCH 17th (Saturday) SPAIN GP MARCH 25th CHINA GP APRIL 22nd TURKEY GP MAY 6th FRANCE GP MAY 20th ITALY GP JUNE 3rd CATALONIA GP JUNE 10th GREAT BRITAIN GP JUNE 24th HOLLAND GP JUNE 30th (Saturday) GERMANY GP JULY 15th USA GP JULY 22nd (Motogp only) SAN MARINO GP SEPTEMBER 2nd JAPAN GP SEPTEMBER 23rd AUSTRALIA GP OCTOBER 7th MALAYSIA GP OCTOBER 14th PORTUGAL GP OCTOBER 28th VALENCIA GP NOVEMBER 4th
