WE ARE REVVING-UP TO WELCOME BIKERS
24 January 2007 - Bikers Advice
Bikers can be assured a warm welcome at hundreds of holiday destinations across the UK this summer.
North west-based Bikers Advice has launched the largest database of biker-friendly hotels, campsites, bed & breakfasts, camping and caravan parks on the web. They are available free for bikers to see at www.bikersadvice.com “There’s been a lot of discrimination in the past with anecdotal stories of bikers being “turned away” because of their leathers and fears about trouble,” said Bikers Advice director Sandra Chadwick. “However, today’s biker is as likely to be a company director, doctor or accountant, as a rock n’ roller!” “Britain’s bikers – and there are around one million of them – are often treated as ‘second class’ holiday citizens,” said Sandra. “Our aim is to source and identify the places where they are welcome and where the hosts offer the sorts of things bikers look for such as secure parking and drying facilities, but most of all a warm welcome.” The database lists around 300 biker-friendly places to stay across the UK from Thurso in the far north of Scotland to Guernsey in the Channel Islands. A European and continental listing is also growing fast, with the opportunity for bikers to add new places as a recommendation to others. bikers accommodation… Bikersadvice.com also offers a range of other services to bikers from biker club listings to legal help.
