SPEEDWAY 1

CHRISTIAN Hefenbrock has joined Arena-Essex on loan from Wolverhampton.
The German Under-21 international enjoyed an impressive debut season in British racing and will partner Henning Bager in a powerful reserve combination.
Hammers co-promoter Jon Cook said: “In our talks with Christian it was clear that he was as enthusiastic about the move as we were. We want riders who want to ride here and Christian fits the bill.”

SPEEDWAY 2

NEW Workington skipper Kauko Nieminen is the latest name to be added to Kevin Little’s farewell meeting at Redcar on April 5.
And Little believes his former club have made the right appointment.
He said: “Captain Niemo, that sounds good! I rode with him at Workington in 2005 and I think they’ve made an excellent choice. He’s a great guy and I’m delighted to have him in my meeting.”
