Snetterton set for another stunning season in 2007
2007 promises to be one of the most spectacular seasons in the history of Snetterton, with the UK’s most exciting motorsport championships on four wheels and two returning to the super-fast Norfolk circuit. The Snetterton season kicks off on 24/25 March with the official Bennetts British Superbike Championship pre-season test, the only place to check out all the new line-ups ahead of the 2007 season. It’s also a fantastic preview ahead of Snetterton’s hosting of BSB on 20 May. The Revett Straight will be the place to watch the fastest machines to race at Snetterton this year, the 1000cc Superbikes hitting 200mph as they roar towards the Esses. Fans of racing on four wheels are well catered for as always, with the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship coming to East Anglia on 29 July. The panel-bashing action of the BTCC is a firm fans’ favourite, with a weekend of pulsating action in store. Meanwhile, fans of single-seaters and sportscar muscle are catered for with the British Formula 3 and GT Championships on 3 June. The next generation of Formula 1 stars will be doing battle in F3, while the might of Aston Martin, Ferrari and Porsche will take Snetterton’s GT races by storm! There’s also plenty of club racing to look forward to throughout the year, with almost 30 meetings whetting the heartiest of appetites. The Citroen 2CV 24 Hours on 27/28 May is a fun scaled-down version of the Le Mans classic, while the Dunlop Great And British Festival on 29 April offers a packed weekend of touring and sports action. The stunning Formula Palmer Audi cars will be supported by the ultra-competitive Britcar series on 13 May, while fans of the golden age of bike racing are sure to love the historic Race Of Aces on 9 September.
