SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES - 14 JANUARY
14 January 2007 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 ELITE League champions Peterborough have appointed Mick Bratley as co-promoter alongside club owner Colin Horton. Bratley has been at the club as commercial manager and will also remain Hans Andersen’s manager. He said: “Colin and I share the same ambitions for Peterborough Speedway and we still have quite some way to go in achieving those ambitions. With Colin’s business interests it makes sense to have someone based locally.” SPEEDWAY 2 PAUL Fry has admitted his March 30 celebration at Somerset could become his farewell meeting. Fry, 44, has missed out on a place at the Oak Tree Arena but has been given the all-clear to resume racing after injury last season. He said: “It’s looking like I’m going to be without a team place and if that’s the case then my meeting in March could well be my last.” FIXTURE SUNDAY JANUARY 14: NEW YEAR CLASSIC: Newport 1pm
