SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES - 8TH JANUARY
08 January 2007 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 JASON King is on his way back to Mildenhall after seeing a move to Birmingham fall through. King is a Mildenhall asset but was heading for Perry Barr until confusion over his average scuppered the deal. Fen Tigers boss Laurence Rogers said: ''I really rate Jason. He has the potential to improve and be a heat leader towards the end of the season for us. I''ll be working on his self belief.'' SPEEDWAY 2 PAUL Pickering has been handed a massive boost ahead of his comeback from a serious arm injury. The Stoke favourite will be supplied with two bikes and other equipment by Cyril Chell of club sponsors Easy Rider. Said Chell: ''We appreciate that Paul has some catching up to do and we hope this package will help him ease his way back into competitive racing with the club.'' FIXTURE SUNDAY JANUARY 14: NEW YEAR CLASSIC: Newport 1pm
